Your Slogan Must Be Catchy

How sticky is your slogan? Creating a slogan that will stick in your reader or audience’s mind it vitally important to the success of a business. Creative slogans can help to leave a lasting impression in the mind and is considered a tricky marketing tool. Think about it… what slogans do you know off the top of your head? How about Nike’s Just Do It? A slogan that can stick in the mind is a brilliant marketing strategy. Here are some helpful tips to aid in the creation of your business’s slogan.

Memory is everything… make your slogan easy for your readers or audience to remember. Use words that fit together that can be branded into the mind of another.

Product or Service hints… Use words or phrases that have to do with the product or service you are selling or providing. It might be easier for someone to remember if they are able to relate the slogan to the actual object or service being marketed.

Brand… Make your slogan jump out from your competitors. A good rule of thumb to follow is to create a slogan that sets itself apart from your competitors.

Restating the brand… use your brand name in the logo, image, or one of the words or phrases itself. To be remembered, you must get your name out there somewhere.

Inside to out… make your slogan touch the heart of others. Emotion is everything. If your audience looks at your slogan and walks away feeling warm inside, it is a success. If a positive affect is left on the audience, a positive affect will be left in the mind of the audience.

Use these above five steps in the creation of your slogan. Remember that it does not always have to be a long lengthy thing; in fact, often shorter catchy slogans are more memorable.
